Democratic SenateWe have two very good candidates with Senator Bennet and Speaker Romanoff. This lays out the differences between Senator Michael Bennet and Speaker Andrew Romanoff. During the race Michael Bennet's tenure as superintendent at DPS is held up as one of the reasons to vote for him. Which leads to the question - Did Senator Michael Bennet improve DPS? For more information, here are my interviews with both candidates:
Republican SenateI wrote up my first take on this race back in January in Ken Buck vs Jane Norton. To this I will add just two things. First a big thank you to ken Buck who has been the most willing of any statewide candidate, Republican or Democrat, to talk to anyone and everyone. I think that speaks well of his comfort in telling the voters across the spectrum what he thinks. (Ken Buck 4/09 Interview, and Ken Buck 10/09 Interview). Second, while many claim that Jane Norton avoids the press and voters so as to not be pinned down on where she satnds on the issues, I don't think that's it. What strikes me about Jane, and this is from a distance because she is kept at arms length by her handlers, is that she appears to be intellectually shallow. And she is held at arms length for this reason. This means to a large degree what you will get with Jane will be mostly determined by who she would hire as her staff in Washington. I'd prefer a Senator who knows what they stand for and can articulate that clearly. Republican GovernorI wrote up my first take on this race back in January in Scott McInnis vs Dan Maes. To this I will add just two things. Dan Maes agreed to be interviewed by me and took an hour to answer all of my questions. Scott McInnis' handlers kept most media (myself included) away from the candidate. When a candidate avoids the media, they are avoiding telling the voters what they stand for. The recent stories about Scott McInnis being paid $300,000.00 to plagarize some papers on water are, to me, a deal killer. We teach our children that plagarism is fundamentally wrong, so how can we then turn around and say it's ok in a governor? Vote Dan Maes so you can continue to tell your children that cheating in school is wrong. |
